Museum of Cardiff offers learners of any age an immersive, empowering and interactive learning experience.
We offer self-led and facilitated activities for primary schools, secondary schools and lifelong learners, which can be easily tailored to your new curriculum concept-based learning, projects and learning needs.
We can offer our ‘Hands on History’ object handling sessions as part of a visit to the museum. These interactive, 15 minute sessions are facilitated by members of the museum team.
We have three learning packs designed for primary school age children. Each pack looks at the theme of ‘Life as a child’ through different periods in history.
Made to complement the New Curriculum for Wales, the packs use pictures, stories and museum objects to offer a blended learning experience. Teachers have the option of either self-led or museum-led.

Learning visit charges
Self-led visits = £1 per pupil + 20% VAT*
Facilitated visits / learning workshops = £4 per pupil + 20% VAT*
*VAT does not apply to Cardiff Council schools
